Not all those who wander are lost, as the saying goes, however in my case, I am often slightly lost most of the time.
We are a family of four, myself and three boys. My two big guys are teenagers and my Little is getting perilously close to double digits. We travel. We home/unschool. We live simply. We debate. We spar with sarcastic remarks. We try our best with what we’ve got.
Travels in 2016:
January was spent on the west coast of Florida. During the spring we found ourselves in Nashville, TN and at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH.
Right now we are on a three-month road trip across the western U.S. Our first stop is Salt Lake City, Utah. From there we will travel to Vancouver, WA to explore Washington and Oregon. After that we’ll be in northern California for a few weeks hanging out in the redwoods. Then we’ll make our way through the Sierra region of the state. Finally, we’ll head back east, possibly stopping to experience Las Vegas (O.o) and anything else that is along the way. I’ve been instructed to avoid I80 since the boys have all decided that it was a torturous journey through Nebraska and Wyoming on the way west, so we’ll be looking into alternatives.
I started this blog to keep family and friends up-to-date with our travels and adventures. Posts will be part journal entries and part will be how we’re managing the budget, nomadic life, travel tips, and various other quips we come across on our journey.
